Start an Art Collection and Beautify Your Home

Starting an art collection can be a great past time. It also has the added benefit of beautifying your home. An art collection can include many different items, usually with an artwork painted on it. Many art collectors collect such things as saw blades, and wooden eggs which have had artwork painted on them. Some even collect designer rugs as art. Another form of the art collection is collecting limited edition plates, thimbles, Christmas ornaments, and figurines. And of course, many art collectors collect fine art paintings.

If you are just starting out, it is a good idea to browse around to see what you like. It can be artwork by a particular artist either past or present. Another option is to collect artwork around a particular theme. If you are particularly concerned about maintaining a color scheme in your home, then consider collecting items to decorate your home with an artwork that you like, that matches your home decor. You can even start a music collection from your favorite artist or from a variety of artists. There are many possibilities and options to pursue.

There is a misconception that an art collector is a wealthy person who can afford to spend $100,000 on a Van Gogh painting. However, there are many ways of collecting art that even a person with more modest means can pursue. Postcard are an excellent example. Most art museum gift shops offer high quality, glossy postcards printed with some of their more notable acquisitions. Buying a postcard is a great way to collect photos of expensive artwork.

If you plan on starting an art collection, here are a few tips to consider.

Find a good source. If you are just starting out, the choices and options can be overwhelming! You may want to try eBay or other online marketplaces that sell artwork. Shopping online gives you the flexibility of comparing prices easily.

Air Compressors Types and Accessories

The device that converts power into kinetic energy by the method of air compression, which when demanded can release great air bursts is known as air compressor. The power is usually derived from a diesel engine, electric motor, or gasoline engine. Air compressors are popular and used in different industries for safe, clean and convenient use of air. The types of air compressors can be classified on the basis of either positive displacement or negative-displacement. They are as follows:

• Reciprocating or Piston Compressors: These are the most common ones with positive displacement compressing unit. The powers vary from fractional to extremely high. The air is filled in the chamber and then volume of the chamber is reduced, thereby creating compression and thus releasing the energy. The inner components include valves, cylinders, crankshafts, pistons, and housing blocks.

• Centrifugal Compressors: Not a positive displacement compressor, this one uses very high speed spinning impellers and accelerates the air and then use the diffuser to break the air. This air compressor uses the method of dynamic compression whereby velocity is used to increase pressure. Centrifugal compressors have many impeller/diffuser combinations and also inter coolers to cool the air between the stages.

• Rotary Screw Compressors: This type if air compressor work by filling air in the void portion in between the two helical mated screws and their case. When the screws are turned, the volume decreases, thereby increasing the air pressure. These compressors also put oil into the bearing and compression area. The mechanism works by cooling, lubricating and creating a closure between screws and the case wall, thus reducing the internal leakage.
